The Kansas City Current are turning their final regular-season home match into a citywide celebration. One Current 2026: Bigger Home. Bigger Future. is set for Sunday, October 25, with the club aiming for the largest gathering of Current fans in its history: about 18,000 people.
How the numbers work
CPKC Stadium’s capacity will be increased to 12,000 for the day. Another 6,000 fans can join through a first-of-its-kind Current Landing Grounds Pass, which lets them enjoy matchday atmosphere just steps from the stadium. The first 10,000 attendees, whether inside the stadium or on the grounds, receive an exclusive KC Current flag.
More than a match
The day is also the club’s Fan Appreciation Match and a nod to the club’s push toward expanded stadium capacity and better fan experiences. Chiefs alumni and legends are invited to the pre-match festivities, making it a full day of Kansas City sports along the riverfront.
Football after soccer
After the final whistle, fans can stay for a watch party at Current Landing for the Sunday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks, kicking off at 7:20 p.m.
Why it’s worth attention
The Current have built a strong following in a short time, and this event shows how much appetite there is in Kansas City for women’s soccer. It also overlaps with the Chiefs schedule, giving the city a rare double header of local sports on one riverfront.
